is the darkest month of the year in the UK, but whatever
your religion, if at all, you can enjoy some of the
traditions and festivities of the Christmas season.
The shops are decorated, people are busy buying presents
and people sing Christmas carols in the street, usually
for charity. December abounds with parties. It is
the twelfth month of the year in the Gregorian Calendar.
The name is from the Latin Word “decem” for “ten”.
It was the tenth month in the Roman calendar. December's
flower is the Holy and it's birthstone is tanzinite. |
