In September the
days are shortening rapidly and the temperatures are
starting to fall. The harvest is being completed in the
fields. The end of September is the start of the academic
year. "Harvest festival" is a thanks giving
ceremony, to give thanks after crops have been harvested
successfully. 23 September Autumn Equinox: The autumn
equinox is when day and night are of equal length. September
is the ninth month of the year in the Gregorian Calendar.
The name comes from the Latin septem, for “seven”.
September’s flower is the morning glory and it’s
birthstone is the sapphire.
