| July.
It is one of the warmest months and the days are
long. This is the most popular time for outdoor events
such as walking on the British countryside. There
are free concerts in many of the larger parks. There
is a busy sporting calendar, including Henley, Wimbledon,
the British Open, the British Grand Prix , and cricket.
Flowers are in full bloom, there are flower shows
at gardens throughout the country. Early July is
the time for summer sales. July is the seventh month
of the year in the Gregorian Calendar and it was
renamed for Julius Caesar, who was born in that month.
July’s flower is the water lily or larkspur
and it’s birthstone is the ruby. |
