Although
February is one of the coldest months of the year,
the flowering of snowdrops is a sign that spring
is coming soon. People prepare cards and presents
or going out to celebrate Valentine's Day. One of
the main sporting events this month is the Six Nations
championship rugby competition. It is good time for
University students that will finish their curse
in June to think about possible jobs. Companies “milk
around” universities to try encourage students
to apply for a job with them. The Great Backyard
Bird Count takes place. It is the National Wildbird
Feeding month. February is the second month of the
year in the Gregorian Calendar. February was named
for the roman god Fefruus, the god of purification.
